Today I’m sharing what my family purchases from Costco, while still focusing on healthy choices!
We shop at Costco on the first weekend of every month, to stock up on frozen items, snacks, fish, home supplies and condiments. Buying in bulk has helped keep our grocery budget down, as long as we follow our list and don’t overbuy, which can easily done at Costco! =)
From what I’ve seen, each Costco location has similarities and differences when it comes to food. Most items I share will be common throughout most locations.
I’ve created a printout with everything we purchase throughout the year. Download the Costco Shopping Guide here!
Costco’s Organic Options
Costco has a ton of affordable, organic options. My family purchases organic whenever possible. If we are tight on budget, I’ll shop non-organic off of EWG’s Clean 15 List, and purchase organic off of the Dirty Dozen list. Click here for EWG’s Shopping Guide which gives you both lists and explains each.
Costco’s Seasonal Non-Food Items
In addition to food, I’ve bought a kids water table, summer/fall hanging and potted plants, Kirklands golf balls for my husband and kid books. They have some awesome deals sometimes that I can’t pass up!
I also purchase Kirkland brand toilet paper and paper towel. We’ve been happy with both and it lasts us forever! We normally only have to purchase these items once every 2-3 months.
